Bulletin for 5th Sunday of Lent

Posted  2015-03-20

March 22, 2015

5th Sunday of Lent

THEME: “They will recognize god as their Lord…..”.

Jeremiah 31:31-34     [A New Covenant]

The Lord promises a new covenant wherein his law will be written in the hearts of his people. They will recognize God as their Lord and he will forgive their sins.

Psalm 51                  [A Clean Heart]

Create a clean heart in me, O God.

Hebrews 5:7-9           [Christ Obedience]

We recall how Jesus prayed to his Father. Through obedience to suffering, Jesus became perfect and is the source of salvation for all who obey him.

Gospel Acclamation             [Follow Me]

Praise and honor to you, Lord Jesus Christ

John 12:20-23                       [Christ Draws All]

Jesus predicts his glorification. It comes by dying like the grain of wheat.  Those who love their life inordinately will lose it.  The Father from heaven answers Jesus.
